Fieldfares Arrive on Speyside
Strathspey was mobbed by Fieldfares this weekend. These Thrush like birds come over from Norway in the late Autumn. They seem particularly keen on rowan berries and systematically strip any trees that still have fruit.

Some say, the arrival of the Fieldfare is an indication of cold weather on the way. Lets hope so!
